Irene Li is the co-creator of the Mei Mei Street Kitchen food truck, an innovative, locally-sourced, Asian-inspired lunch purveyor that won a \u201cBest of Boston\u201d award in its first year in business.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cIn the kitchen, creativity is messy. Sometimes we find a dish we want to make, and we systematically create it from the top down, using a recipe as guidance and providing our own touches. Sometimes we invent things… The Double Awesome, our signature sandwich and bestseller, we invented from the leftovers of three other dishes. It just sort of happened\u2014a lot of our food is like that.
