Jehane Noujaim ’92
Jehane Noujaim is an Egyptian-American documentary filmmaker. Following the release of Control Room, which explored Al Jazeera, the U.S. military’s Central Command, and the contrasting ways of reporting the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Noujaim was awarded a 2006 TED Prize. Her film The Square was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2014.
